合同会社サカサ (SAKASA LLC) ("the Company") considers the proper handling of users' personal information in the service "JapaNabor" ("the Service") to be an important responsibility.

This privacy policy explains, in an easy-to-understand manner, the types of information obtained and how it is handled for both travelers and assistants (international students).


1. Definition of Personal Information and Scope of Application

In this privacy policy, “personal information” refers to information about a living individual as defined in Article 2 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, including name, contact information, residence status, usage history, and other information that can identify a specific individual.

This policy applies to all users of the JapaNabor website and related services (including travelers and assistants).


2. Information Collected

(1) Information Collected from All Users

  • Name or nickname
  • Email address
  • Usage history (matching, chat logs, etc.)
  • IP address, browser information, access information via cookies, etc.

(2) Information Collected from Travelers

  • Planned visit dates
  • Preferred areas and plan details
  • Language settings and desired assistant conditions

(3) Information Collected from Assistants (International Students)

  • Nationality, native language
  • Japanese proficiency (self-reported or certificates, etc.)
  • School name and grade
  • Copy of residence card
  • Status of permission for activities outside visa status
  • Bank account information (for payment of compensation)

Some information such as nationality, residence status, and health condition may be considered “sensitive personal information.” Such information will only be collected and managed for limited purposes with the user’s explicit consent.

(4) Handling of Records

Chats, reviews, etc. may be checked and stored by the Company to prevent trouble between users and to improve service quality.


3. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Company uses collected personal information for the following purposes:

  • For matching and service provision
  • For communication (email, chat, etc.)
  • For identity verification and legal compliance (especially for assistants, to confirm and record activities in accordance with immigration and labor laws)
  • For service improvement and statistical analysis
  • For prevention and response to unauthorized use
  • For compliance with laws and regulations

The Company collects and uses personal information based on the above purposes, user consent, legal obligations, or as necessary for contract performance.


4. Provision to Third Parties, Outsourcing, and Joint Use

The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without user consent, except in the following cases:

  • When required by law
  • When outsourcing to external contractors as necessary for service provision (e.g., payment processing, identity verification, server operation)
  • When necessary for trouble response or fraud prevention

Contractors are required by contract to handle personal information appropriately, and the Company will supervise them as necessary.

Currently, the Company does not jointly use personal information with third parties. If joint use is implemented in the future, the scope, purpose, and responsible party will be clearly stated.


5. Use of Cookies and Analytics Tools

The Service uses cookies and similar technologies to improve convenience and analyze usage.

Users can refuse cookies by changing browser settings, but some features may not be available.

The Company may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics. Information collected by these tools is handled in accordance with the privacy policies of each provider.

Some analytics tools may send data to servers located outside Japan (e.g., the United States). The Company uses only providers with management systems compliant with Japanese privacy laws.

10. Use by Minors
